Is it possible to fish P4 from shore?
If so, what would your recomendations be so that I stay as far out of the way of the boaters? Or are the boats that close to shore?

    Thanks

You’ll need a boat to get up to the dam area.

It’s all private property except for the Federal island the separates the lock area from the dam area.

There is fishing (that’s good fishing at time) in the Red Wing area. Check around the parks and there is a fishing pier by one of the marinas.

baypoint park could be a good spot.. fish the west end of the park right where the marina opens to the channel.. there is a deep hole out there and a nice ledge that comes up into the marina..

    also from everets..

colvile can also be a good place right now from shore all along the rip rap..

    good luck!

There are plenty of great guys on here that often have an empty seat I’d post an offer to help with gas ect. To go out with someone, heck I’m always willing when I have room to get I guy out.

I counted over 90 within viewable distance from the dam. 60 of those were fishing the dam area.

The levee’s rip rap between the train station and the grain towers up stream from there.
