I took my weekly road trip to Everts today too see friends and how the river was looking.

It wasn’t pleasing to see all the trees floating down stream in front of Everts,Not just limbs but whole trees! One was even hung up on the green can right out front. I can only imagine it will get a little worse the next day or two.

Please be patient and take your time when going out and returning, most importantly keep YOUR EYES OPEN !

It is still very fishable, Just be careful for the sunken treasures.

Remember we all family that counts on our safe return.

BTW.. Dont forget to have fun.

Very good warning, I was up at the confluence pool 2 yesterday and I was seeing the same = high numbers of titanic sinking trees along with car size ice burgs. Im not heading in for weight inns instead I take it slow so I can make it out another day.

What a difference a day can make! Friday afternoon the river was clear of debris and by Saturday morning the Vermillion and Trembelle rivers were spitting out all kinds of debris into the main river.

This is the time to use extreme caution on the river, especially for those who are unfamiliar with operating there boats in fast current and high water conditions. Personally, when the current picks up and the debris starts floating, the life jacket goes on and stays on. Hypothermia like water temps and fast current is no match for even the best swimmers.

The flow doubled over the weekend. I wish it would stay at 24,000 cfs all summer!

It’s the Great Mississippi Flush of 2013!!
