I just stopped by Evert’s today & met Steve & Kari for the first time. After listening to me babble or a while, Steve faked a phone call & left, so Kari tried to stay awake & be polite. (Much like my former students…..they had more trouble than she did.) they told me of the contest, so I may just have to drop in and spread my charm……..IF I am not grounded again! Nice to finally meet you both!

Yeah, you give him the “look” and he buckles. Maybe we should have a panel of three. LOL!

Monticello closed down in advance a couple days ago. I had no idea what “refueling” meant until now.

The panel of elite judges has been picked and sworn in!

In no particular order…(insert drum roll….)

Steve Weber- Otherwise known as “yes the ramps are open Steve”.

Chappy- No need for an introduction Sir.

    and

George Mead- better known as the friendliest Lock operator on the upper Mississippi River.

There are only a few things I won’t eat so bring your best chili and hope for the best. I am honored to serve as a judge for this prestigious event. See you all there!

Could you list those things that you won’t eat George?

I’m going to suggest them to Kari.

Right off the top of my head, raw shellfish. Leave your oysters at home unless you plan to cook them real good.

How many guys plan on entering? Not to many things take the chill off like some good chili.
