My guess would be yes. 494 being the best bet.

The city does a good job on the 494 ramp and parking lot. Remember, that is an access used for emergencies on the river. So it is a high priority access to keep open.

What about hidden falls? Get a big boat landed there?

Bring the snow blower, salt and chisel if you want to use hidden falls. They do not plow the ramp there.

My mental health if going to suffer if winter doesn’t hurry up and get over with. I don’t descriminate on landings as long as I get to fish open water. Is the hidden falls ramp open all the time or does it have certain hours when you have to leave? I drove by 494 a short while ago, and it’s plowed for the most part, just a little shoveling on the concrete and she’s set. I’m really looking forward to being able to fish in “balmy” weather 33 degrees and over, when I don’t have to constantly clear ice from my line and guides

Hidden falls gates I think closes at 10pm. Opens at 6am. There is a sign there with park hours if you want to double check that. They do close that gate. Now in the mornings the guy opening it has been known to sleep in to.

Can someone explain why our public parks close? I am sure it is for safety concerns but seems ridiculous that these places close at 10pm. Maybe I am bitter I have had some issues with city cops this past year telling me I can’t fish anymore and really being jerkwads about it.

They close at 10 so you have to to go to the bar and get plowed before driving home.

And because they’re too lazy to go out and look for a real crime.

Mike, I have to test out the new Ilink before we head up to the Rainy. Let me know when you can break away and hit Pool 2. Jason

Kinda stuck right now Jason. Boats hooked up to the truck but the problem is they are both stuck in the snow along side the home. Maybe the rain tomorrow will help with getting them un stuck.
