    This Weekend At Everts-Parking

In years past we’ve had a large crowd for the Freeze Your Butt Saturday along with recreational anglers. We expect with the mild temps it will be no different this year.

This year, to make it less congested, we’ll be parking the tourny rigs (remember the launch fee is waved with your entry fee this year) in the parking lot across from our driveway to allow our recreational anglers closer parking.

We will have a shuttle running before and after the Freeze Your Butt and security at the lot.

If you are a recreational angler and would like to get out before the crowd arrives, we talked BK to open the bait shop at 5 am this Saturday morning. The take off is at 7 am if you would prefer to launch later.

For those of you that would rather stay home but want to see the take off, tune in to the Mississippi Walleye Forum about 6:50 am for live streaming coverage of the take off from dock side.

    See you on Saturday,

    The Everts Team!

Most important thing to remember is to stop fishing once you hit 14.5 lbs.

    Good luck and have fun!

how many boats are expected for the FYB tomorrow? I thought about pulling out the alumacraft but not if the river is going to be crawling with people.

I am sure there will be quite a few boats, but it is a big river and there is plenty of open water to catch fish although the eyes and sauger kicked my butt today.

Might want to keep it in storage until June…or at least the opener in May.

Most all the River Rats don’t fish up in the crowds…there’s 11 miles to the head of the lake, with lots of fish in it. Might be a good time to break away from the dam area and explore some.
