A reminder to people fishing pool 4! Fish during the day! It is less dangerous, there is barge traffic and obstacles out there that cannot be seen at night….. Fish activity on pool 4 in general cuts right off at dark so please do not venture out!!

    I like the quite!

So we should let you catch all the big fish hah?? PROLLY NOT!!!!!! jk, anyways who wants to fish in a scenario being crowded at the dropping of the ball at times square on new year’s, best time to be out is in the morning or night when you don’t have to weave your way in and out of boats.

I don’t want to scare any one.. Or keep any one from catching a big fish..This is just my belief..And a respect I have for the Mighty Mississippi..I have also been out searching for drowned friends on the River..No they didn’t downed at night.

However for people whom DO NOT FISH THE RIVER OFTEN

    It can be a very dangerous place..Then add cold water,floating ice,high water,Darkness,deadheads..

What I’m trying to say is becareful use your heads..And if your new to night fishing I’d wait for warmer water and less ice.

Or go with some one whom is experienced at night fishing..

Just my two cents worth.. Things can happen very fast on the river…For me an 8 to 10 Lb walleye is not worth a life..
