The heatwave known as March is almost here. Soon the overnight lows will only be in the 20s and daytime highs might hit a balmy 40 degrees. There might even be an especially warm night where ice won’t need to be scraped off the truck windshield. And the best part of all this??? The ice auger, 5 gallon bucket, and flasher will soon be relegated to the back shed where they belong, collecting dust for most of the year as God intended them to do. As the ice fades many of the drunks and meat hogs will be done fishing for another 9 months. While the last week or two of the curse known as winter linger like that ugly chick at the bar, I’ve decided to post some pics from this season on the river*, mostly because I’m bored, also to remind me of better days.
*pool 4,2,5,St. Croix and Chequamegon Bay included.
