On the 18th my dad and I went out fishing from 7-3…dads 3rd time on the mighty Miss. Fog was thick as we headed out of Colville park down toward the head of Pool 4. Started long-lining blue/chrome and firtiger raps and had 5 legal eyes between 16-20 by 9. Also caught 2 northers around 27″ that we kept to smoke. After that dad started catching sheepies and white bass on lite tackle….needless to say thats what we did the rest of the day.

On the 19th it was non-stop action all day. After making a few runs trolling shad-raps with only one keeper in the boat and a few smallish eyes we switched to black and red jigs and the action was instant. We went through 3 dozen crawlers cut in half and a few leeches in an hour….wish dad wouldn’t of wasted them on the sheepies and whities……we then put on 4″ pumkinseed power worms cut down to 3″ and the bite continued….as the wind picked up so did the fishing. Glad I have a 24V. trolling moter cause we used it all and then some. We fished from 6 to noon and ended up each keeping a limit…. about every 4th fish was a keeper.

    Paul,

Thanks for the update! Looks like you guys had your self a fun couple of days. Good call on the switch up to the jigs! DId you guys continue to fish the jigs in the same area that you were long-lining cranks earlier?

    Steve,
Yes we jiged the same areas we were trolling. All the fish came in 8′-11′ of water on rocks and clam beds as Justin hinted at earlier.
