What is currently the best chip to get for a Lowrance that shows the best detail. Are there some chips that show certain areas or things better than another?

    What brand gps?

What areas (pools of the river) are you looking for specifically?

Check out the 2013 Insight chip from Lowrance, it’s quite impressive.

I think it was Kari’s mushrooms that I picked growing in her car.

A somewhat related question…Is the Navionics app for the iPhone any good for Pool 4? That’s where I primarily fish in the summer and was curious. A buddy of mine has the navionics app but don’t think he’s tried it yet for Pool 4.

It gives you a genera idea. It’s tough on the river. Depends when the survey was made. Water levels can fluctuate so much. Just cause it says 3 feet on the map doesn’t mean you are in 3 feet come summer in low water. Proceed with caution.

Shockers- for finding contours its fairly accurate. Marked depths can be inaccurate do to water level changes as stated, thats all.
