I’m starting to take after River Rat Randy.

I should have been on the water at 7 this morning with the 10 or so boats that launched out of Everts this morning.

Now it’s 11:21 and freezing rain.

Guess I should have remembered what they always say…

“When the ducks fly low, hurry up and go fishing.”

I for one have been fixing rods for others, pouring jigs and one eyes instead of thinking of driving in this crap.

The fish will still be there when it is safe to drive 45 miles to them

    Be smart and safe all

    Or….

Make yourself a Bloody Mary and play with your kids.

Fishing sucks in the winter unless you are in Mexico, Texas, CA, or FL.

    Why struggle?

    Just my 2 cents

My “kid” is 32 years old. That’s as far as I’m going to go with that!

I’ve been tying flies and thinking about warmer days. This sucks. It’s either 10 below zero or it’s freezing rain?

x2, especially on the bloody, and except for the fishing, the rain gets rid of everybody so you have it to yourself.

Nice day to watch Indiana and Michigan play hoops, fix a toilet, make a roast and see if Tiger Woods can win in San Diego.

Might even make a diaper run to Sam’s Club.

The freezing rain, rain and now snow still hasn’t brought in two boats.

Steve’s in a fight with Mother Nature keeping the ramps ice free.

He’s been working away at them, all the while Mother Nature is bi_ching at him.

You mean that sometimes there is always a reason for bloody marys?

I spent this week tying up some Bass streamers, yesterday I was tying some #18 nymphs thinking about maybe doing some winter time trout fishing, and then today I was tying big gobs of bucktail, flashabou, and saddle hackle on to 3/0 hooks. Big pike and/or Muskies next summer.

I do the majority of my tying between now and March, and then spent the summer losing flies to trees, log, rocks, and poorly tied knots.

You could always get your favorite wife to help with another video .
