Anyone been by the landing lately? With the warmer weather this week and close to 40 the next two days Im starting to wonder if there is a chance of getting a boat in?

January 9, 2013 at 5:37 pm #1128638Typically 494 or hidden falls. It can take a while for the channel to open up between hiddens falls and the confluence. You might be able to get up to the dam.

I drive by hidden falls almost every day, I’ll try to swing down and snap a quick photo or get a status for you guys.
January 11, 2013 at 7:19 pm #1129595I stopped at 494 a few hours ago and it was close, but no cigar. The main channel was open good though and it made my mouth water. I bet Lillydale might be open as it often has current right on the concrete.
January 12, 2013 at 3:34 pm #1129848There was one boat out of 494 on Thursday. Looked like a small jon that was pushed across the ice. Looks like back to the deep freeze for a while now.
