Got out this weekend fishing twice. Saturday after work I jumped in the boat with Jeff and Steve at Evert’s and we hit it for a couple of hours. We put the smack down on the saugers keeping 9 quality fish. Sunday we decided to go a little earlier and again we were not disappointed! Well maybe Jeff was as it took him quite a while to get the skunk out of his end of the boat but hooked into a damn nice Northern that was about 30″. He thought he had the new state record walleye on! Mean while in the back of the boat Steve and I were putting on a clinic! Steve was doing well with a natural colored fluke, myself I was using a firecracker/chartreuse paddle tail and Jeff was using char/orange core ring worm. We only kept 6 Sunday but caught a bulk of fish. A lot of smaller fish but it was a blast and the weather was great! Thanks for the ride Steve! It was awesome!
Average length kept was 16″, we were fishing in 15-24 fow.
