Just a short update on the bite from sunday for my boat. Myself and partner for the day Chad Nissen, spent the day dragging jigs/live bait in 5′ to 9′ of water with good results. The numbers were good as well as the average size. We had 2 bigger fish that will be pictured in my next report and a fair number of fish in the 20 1/2″ to 22″ class . Light jigs were the key bumping bottom every so often, a slow lift and drop seemed to work the best for us. Orangejigs and red jigs took the 2 biggest fish but light blue jigs were the hot ticket for the numbes game and 3 or 4 of the 21″plus fish. Chad had another big fish hooked up that got tangled up in a tree while the fish was straight under the boat . Pretty sure this was another big eye since it was in the same area we took our other 2 big fish……….but that’s the way it goes

Just another report on the 9th. The old man and I went out to Camp LaCaupolis and put in a nice day on the water. We fished for about two hours there and caught a dozen or so walleyes and only four of which measured. Pretty much the same depth and color that Dustin was using, 5′-9′ and orange/yellow w/ crawlers was the hot “numbers” jig, but all of the fish that measured were on green/chart. w/ a leech. Not too many boats out there yet but there was one bonehead out there. Looks like the fish are on the move!
