I went to Pool 2 last night and the fishing was very slow for me. There weren’t a lot of people out so I hit a lot of the hot community spots but still nothing. I wound up catching 4 fish and they were all off spots where there is always a fish, it’s an exact cast type of deal. Decided to hit my magic wingdam at the end of the night and I caught my final 2 fish, a 27 and an 18. Had to dodge some floating chunks of ice out there, might be time for me to hang it up for the year. I figured with the moon almost full it would make for good fishing after dark, that theory is out the window now.

Id take those results anytime. Any pics of that 27? I might try a little shorefishing later.

50 degree weekend ladies and gentlemen.

With temps like that, I might wander out on the water.

    That’s your only warning.

Heard a few guys say it was really slow out there. From my experience it will be a couple days before it picks up after a slow day(s)…like I said…it is what I generally experience.

It was slow for us to. Think we had 7 or 8 for the evening with maybe one over 20″s. Might of been something to do with the full moon. For some reason that high bright moon doesn’t seem to help the fishing on pool 2.

Anyone been out looking for saugers and walleyes during the day? Usually the vertical jigging bite gets going early November but haven’t heard anything about it yet.

If a lot of boats do hit the water be ready for some extra sheet ice to be floating around this weekend. We found a couple thin but large pieces the other night and it will become a common sight so be carefull out there.

Lots of new people out on the river???? See one sitting in the main channel you might want to stop by and make sure they are ok!!! Not trying to scare anyone but the deeper you get into this season….. The more that goes wrong. I went through a prop and trim tab last year. Could have been worst…. Be carefull and please slow down and use your eyes!!!

The bite was pretty slow in our boat as well on Tuesday.

Been looking, but haven’t found much other than a Nice 21″ Sauger at the confluence dragging plastics! I think a more accomplished Fishermen might have better results but I’ll keep trying until the Ramps tell me otherwise!
