Under the 494 bridge and upstream from there south of the rr bridge by the dog park might be good. You are fishing a lot of rock in both areas. Snags might be an isue. Good luck!

I fishing the Rip Rap down by the last pump in front of the island just upstream from 494. I always wanted to try the dog park since it seems to have more structure. I’ll have to give that a shot next year.

The bite sure isnt going dead yet. Still going very good. Keep checking those shore fishing spots. Sooner or later you are going to connect with a good one. Sunday night we picked up a 24 and 28″ with in casting distance of shore. These fish where on a wingdam where it connected to shore. Got a couple of jig dragging spots that we seem to comment on that it would easier to fish from shore than trying to get the boat in that close.

One thing you shore guys will have going for you real soon is not having to bust ice trying to put a boat in.

This one came off one of the wing dams easily accessible from shore upstream from 494. As Mike said above just keep trying and eventually something will show up. Good luck!

Jeremy, was that you guys with the big bonfire out there last night?
I’ve been kicking around the idea of taking my brothers kayak out that he’s got rigged to serious fishing. it’s got nav lights, and anchor and the whole deal. Lots of great wing dams on the launch side of the river you wouldn’t even have to cross the channel and there’s 6-8 great spots.

Nope..not me. I was fishing in my boat….Just a spot I could have just as easily been fishing from shore though
