Brian, I don’t think you understand where I’m coming from on this. Maybe we should go fishing together sometime and talk it through.

Nice fish JJ! sorry about the hassle you received for a pic
X2!I would not have caught as many big fish as I have to this day, without tips and encouraging photos from this site. It keeps me going back out for that trophy! Fishing P4 by the dam is were I learned the ways and techniques and got tips from many friendly fishermen! And branched out and found less crowded spots from there. Lets keep our heads on and congratulate eachother and leave it at that.
November 12, 2012 at 5:27 pm #1111595Is Pool 2 froze up yet so all the Pool 2 fisherman can hurry and come down, fish Pool 4 and complain about all the people fishing Pool 4 also. We’d sure hate to take away from their Pool 4 fun once Pool 2 is froze over

Congrats. We’re all happy for your move.
ps-tell richard cranium I said hi.
November 12, 2012 at 6:59 pm #1111617Saturday was pretty ridiculous to say the least as far as pressure goes.
I think this site’s promotion and InDepth analisis is the main reason for the increase in pressure.
Don’t kid yourself you don’t see this kid of detailed verbage and reports anywhere else on the Internet.
Good or bad you decide! And as far as the lights go, some of the perps are a few of the registered members here who have posted in the Walleye forum and should know better. We’ve talked and yet you still not only anchor lightless which is more rude than anything when other boats are moving from spot to spot, but you are motoring while not in compliance with said light laws too.
Stop putting me and others in harms way with your stubborn dangerous ignorance!Good luck and good fishing!

You’re very welcome and thanks to you and all the others who take the time to help out! This place is 2nd to none in reguards to giving knowledge and techniques on how to fish the River systems!
That being said, call me selfish, but I’ve never had to wait 30 minutes to launch at that landing before so it threw us for loop and we had a minor meltdown …
Now we’ll see about your dropping tempature theory later this week ..
November 13, 2012 at 1:23 am #1111720I guess I’d like to add this one as well as it becomes more relevant.
PLEASE ALLOW YOUR TRAILORS TO DRAIN when launching.
With cooler temps please be respectful of others and help keep ice build on ramps to a minimum.
Thanks to all on this site, and enjoy the fishing!
November 13, 2012 at 8:09 pm #1111890Sorry 2619, I just put a post up for this and then read your note here… good note
November 13, 2012 at 9:47 pm #1111910I drove over the 494 bridge today and couldnt see the water through the boats!
November 14, 2012 at 4:22 pm #1112049while many hate the sight, I wont mind all the boats if theyre there one bit, as itll mean Ive finally made it out onto the ‘Sippi and that will make me a happy fisherman.
November 15, 2012 at 1:11 am #1112178Wow… what a thread. Nice fish Jon.
PS. If it bothers you to see fish pictures and read information on how you might be able to catch them, you may not want to participate/logon to a fishing website.
November 16, 2012 at 3:45 am #1112611That’s a great walleye Jon! Thanks for sharing.
For those of you who read my Mille Lacs Open Water Trolling Reports – you know that I don’t leave much information out and will tell anyone how to catch open basin walleyes in Mille Lacs. I also post a lot of big walleye pictures but it’s certainly not about me because the walleyes are never caught by me. In fact, this year I only reeled in two walleyes and both were not very big.
Are there more anglers out trolling the open basin than years ago? YES! And hopefully some of those boats are because of me! The reason I give out information is to help others catch fish! There’s nothing wrong catching and releasing fish especially in a catch and release fishery like P2 or within a slot limit on Lake Mille Lacs. Why do I share so much information? Because the smiles on the faces of the anglers never gets old for me whether that fish is caught in my boat or I’m looking at picture on this site. If the smiles ever stop – then I’ll find something else to do.
