What a difference a day makes

    I fished pool 3 Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday we caught 3 limits and threw back 2 29″ers 1 27″ and 1 25″ Walleye. Thursday we caught 4 total 2 Walleye with the biggest 20″. Wednesday I caught and released a new personal best. 29″ 8 pounds.

    Negative… White jigs with fatheads or white sonars in 18-20 fow. Thursday we threw everything at them and nothing was working.

    I’ll be honest and admit to keeping a 28″ and 25″ earlier this summer. I haven’t fished in about 20 years and didn’t know any better. After cleaning them and finding them full of eggs I felt pretty bad I’d almost rather catch a limit of 15″ saugers other than the thrill of landing a big monster. Live and learn I guess, now if it’s over 20″ it goes back most of the time.
