I had a great day on the Mississippi last weekend, south winds and a decent temperature make for a very nice late season walleye outing. The hot lure and locations were #11 & #13 Rapalas on rock. Total I had 27 fish with 17 between 20″ & 27″, 11 fish surpased the 25″ mark. The biggest was 11 lbs but I also had a 10 lb & 9 lb fish. I took home 5 17″-19″ fish for a fish fry with my old man, all others were released. Good luck out there boys, the hogs are biting…..

I think those look like Pool 12 walleyes, if I’ve ever seen one before.

The 11 is the second pic, the one that looks all beat up. She was actually only 29 1/2″ but she was really fat. She hit a hair over 11 on the digital scale. I had to take her to the ramp for a pic other then my phone, she was happy to go home to say the least, I just hope she went south and not north toward the dam. Otherwise she might be on someone’s wall next time LOL.

The Belleview stretch is one of the better places for size and numbers, all the way up to the Minn. border, nice fish by the way.
