I am going to try and get out this weekend and give the night bite a try, never done it before. Will there be many other people out there? I have read the other reports and hopefully it is enough to help put some fish in the boat. I was thinking of working the rip rap areas close to the dam, any other areas/type of shore I should try this time of year? thanks

Pool 4 at night is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world. It is pretty easy to get up to the lock channel where draggin jigs can produce some nice fish. Current seams and pitching the shore line all produce. Learn the water during daylight and avoid the rocks at the vermillion and the couple wing dams and drive slow until you know where you are at.

Take your time heading back to the landing on the way down river to if you are new after dark out there. Still remember one of my 1st night trips down there years ago and wondering if anyone ever hits a cone. Thought I had just seen one off to the side of the boat and ended up plowing into it.

    Good luck out there.

It’s a good idea to have a spotlight with you for the trip back. Those green channel markers will do their best to sneak out in front of you but they have reflectors on them so they show up real well with a spot light.
    Be safe out there.
