If you’re not catching walleyes at least this size, you might be fishing too deep.

Two hours produced Jeff Jerry’s limit today vertical jigging in 7 fow.

Nice fish Jeff. It’s “what’s for dinner”!

As I was walking to the bait shop this morning at 5:45 I glanced at the American Flag. I was hanging straight down, then looking out over the water that was glass smooth. That’s when I decided to call in sick and go fishing.

No one answered, so I continued on to open the bait shop.

It was great seeing all of the regulars again!!

Sunday it’s my turn to get the lines wet!

    Tip #2

Don’t forget! There are THREE wing dams on the MN side of the dam area! Only one is out of the water!!

    Just a little reminder.

PS This was not Jeff’s prop.

I saw a boat a few years ago that I couldn’t get to stop or slow down, go over the #2 WD and the prop was throwing 3-4″ rocks OUT of the water behind the boat. Think that was the one I had to pull off the top.
    be careful out there.

bk, whats the difference with pool 4 in comparison to the st croix, as most say to fish 20-30′ on the croix versus the shallower 7′ of water on p4.

I’ll leave that question for the walleye guys. I’m still wondering why people fish for these things.

But I will add my largest St Croix eye was a chunky 4.5 pound fish that came out of less then 5 feet of water.

I wasn’t sure if that would show up in the photo, but yes it sure is. The good thing is the owner has good insurance…well, he’ll find out how good it is.

Been awhile since I’ve seen you post. I was wondering if you quite fishing. I’m still a troller at heart, but I’m trying to learn new stuff, but it has been painful.

I disappeared for a while – didn’t stop fishing but got into fly fishing and back to my catfishing roots over the summer. But will be hitting the miss starting this weekend hopefully.
