    Tonight we fished pool 2 near 494 and got into some nice fish. After working wing dams for a few weeks now with limited success, the kid finally got to see a real fight. He’s been a trooper each night as the temps have dropped, I think he’ll have some thick skin for ice fishing time! Crankbaits are still what has been most consistent for me. Also got a really nice white bass tonight, biggest I’ve seen. Reminded me of the stripers I used to catch on the east coast.

    Thanks everyone, I really enjoy all the posts on this forum and learn a ton. EJ (the little guy) just turned 2 and he loves to go out and try to catch a “big walleye”. Looking forward to seeing you all out on the river through the fall!
