Fished yesterday afternoon on pool 2. The walleye bite was pretty decent pitching jigs and plastics. At some points it was game on for fish feeding. Then Bob gets a solid hit on his jig. About a half second later my line gets a very light tap and goes limp. Get Bob’s fish in the boat and I finish up reeling my line in and it goes right to Bob’s fish. Yep here is a nice 20″ fish with both a k grub and moxie in its mouth. Think that is a first for my boat. Hungry fish.

to say the fall feed bag is on might be a under statement for some of these fish. Every trip out the bellies seem to be getting a little fatter and when they hit the jigs it is typically with a solid thunk.

Last fish of the trip yesterday was a nice 28’er that hit just as the sun was dropping below the horizon. She hit a Cotton Candy Moxie on top of a wingdam. Not the best photo but still not bad for all the drizzle and fog yesterday. Hope to see many more of these this fall.

That is awesome. Your jigs must have been in pretty close proximity for that fish to be able to get to both baits before one of you gunslingers set the hook!

I had something similar happen trout fishing once in Wisconsin where a trout bit both my flies while using a dropper.

Nice fish BTW…Glad to see the bite starting to pick up.

Yea, pitching jigs to dams many times our jigs our almost right on top of each other while trying to hit that one sweet spot on the dam.

    Pretty neat Mike!

I remember a similar thing happening to Scott Steils in a tournament that I believe he ended up winning.

Once in 9 years of flathead fishing we had a cat sneak up and take a 6+ inch live bullhead and then nail a second one.

I caught it first, but the other fella reeled it in. Who’s fish was it?

Bob caught the fish. How we figured this was he popped his jig out and then threw the fish back in the water for me to reel in. My jig popped out while in the water so no catch for me.
I picked up the 28″ shortly after that so did worry to much about a lost fish.

My I-Pilot remote went blank while using it. If I touched any button all the icons would come on for about three seconds then go blank again. There is no remote battery icon on my remote even though the book says there is one. After about two or three minutes it would work again. This happened twice and I thought the automatic circuit breakers were popping and then resetting. The third time it happened it did not come back on, the next morning it was working. I did not have a chance to use it as I was pulling out for the season. Anyone have any ideas?
