The fishing up at lock and dam3 has greatly improved. Last weekend we were out and caught alot of saugers and a few nice walleyes 17″. The biggest sauger was about 3 pounds but she was full of eggs. They are bitting well on fireball jigs with a fathead. Went out yesterday from noon til 4 caught alot of small fish at the dam really nothing in size. I didnt see a hole lot of fish being caught.

About 2 we move a little farther down the river and caught a few 2-3 pounders.

We were useing a fireball and a fathead and just jigging.

This next week the weather is supposed to warm up, and hopefully stay for a while.

We will see ya out there.

that is normally what we do good on, but it seams that not a lot of people use the fireballs too much. YEah vertical jigging is pretty much the only thing you can do with them cause casting them you usually end up losing your minnow quite a bit
