It has been a long summer, to busy to fish. The last time the boat touched the water was june, ugh. And the last trip to the river was april. Thats a lot of time away in my book.

I have seen a few posts in the last week, I was just wondering if anyone could lend a little advice if you have been on the river.

As to where the might be hiding and what they have been biting on!

    Any help would be great!!

Ill be out looking for them myself in the afternoon. Not sue if Ill run up to pool 3 and hit the tips of wingdams. If not there most likely pull flicker shads on pool 4 looking for areas with more current like bends in the river and rocky shorelines.

So what does everts have on had for bait?

Headed to pool 4 tomorrow, my birthday gift of fishing from the wife. Hope the walleye cooperate with me. Going to try casting plastics and cranks. May bring some nightcrawlers too. If that doesn’t work, will proceed to throw the whole taklebox in the river. Wish me luck!

Its always a tough bite when the rollers are down and there is little or no current. The barges stir up a ton of silt, making it hard for the fish to breathe. Pray for rain and some current…otherwise… head for Lake Pepin!

Trumar has the shop well stocked with small sheepheads. I hear Steve has been using a secret weapon, but can’t confirm that.

Hopefully there will be a report up today.

With a little work limits are being caught.

I’m getting mixed reports about pulling cranks and vertical jigging, but I know for a fact that pitching the new Pulsars are working.

Forgot. Tom, I was up in the dam area yesterday with the Marcum camera. Normally this time of year I can see about 6 inches or when I bump into a fish.

Now, I’m seeing at least two feet. I should have taken some pictures, it was impressive.

Normally what you say is true, but as has been said before, it’s a goofy year!

Awesome BK! When you love to use jigs and plastics visibility is really important…
