Dragging rigs on the river?

Since my first time out on pool 2 I have been thinking about dragging rigs. Maybe it’s because I grew up pulling rigs on every lake I have ever fished, but I have a serious itch to try it on the river. Maybe float in the current with a spinner or throw a rig up at a wing dam when the current is moving?

Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) in this department?

Have never dragged rigs on the river. Did try some jig dragging the last few times out with limited success. I do pitch dork rigs with live bait on the wing dams every once and a while. Thats a basic slip sinker rig with a round style sinker weighted to match how much current there is. Just like pitching jigs to the wing dams bring a few extra rigs with.

Frustrating and lots of snags. But if you are on the right piece of structure, I wouldnt rule it out.

Thanks Jake. Head down whenever you get a weekend off from hockey and we’ll get out there.
