    I did see a couple floaters on 14 today also. The key to catching fish right now is finding cooler water . We caught some dandies today in water that was 2.5 degrees cooler than the rest of the pool. If you find the cool water they are hammering jigs. The deepest we caught fish today was in 3 ft some came out of 1 ft. Hopefully the cooler weather will slow down the die off of fish. We really don’t have a abundance to lose some.

    saw a few dead carp by hidden falls today, nothing unusual but there is a ton of “foam” crap in the water.. what is that stuff? and is it safe to swim in?

    OK so I had to look it up..

    Thanks for the leg work!

    Natural foam usually:

    appears as light tan or brown in color, but may be white;
    smells earthy, fishy or has fresh cut grass odor;
    can occur over large areas and accumulate in large amounts, especially on windward shores, in coves and eddies; and
    dissipates fairly quickly, except when agitated (as in high wind conditions).

    Unnatural foam from human activity usually:

    appears white in color;
    gives off a fragrant, perfumed or soapy odor; and
    usually occurs over small area, localized near source of discharge.
