Saw BK’s post about the rollers being dropped. Wondering what to expect on Pepin next weekend. I’m prepared to pull cranks on boards or lead or to drag jigs off points (or whatever else it takes to catch a couple for dinner / CPR). Just wondering how I should start or if I should head north or south from Lake City. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Looking at the forecast for the flow, it’s going to be slowing (and dropping) very little over the next week.

Disclaimer: The Corps and Ma Nature could change this in a blink of a walleye.

I’m not qualified to get you any advice as to go up or down ect.

I went south yesterday toward Lacupolis: Not much going on down there but sheephead and dogfish. I did happen to catch a 36″ northern off the wingdam in front of Pepin Marina using a tiger colored frenzy trolling. Seen some folks catching perch there also. I’ll try the can lines on Saturday. Maybe the water temp is a little cooler up there.
A guy could only hope. Good Luck.

I haven’t been down for a few weeks but i would have to think with the flow slowing down the wing dams below the lake should be holding fish
