I just got back from my annual trek to lake Kabetogama yesterday. I was ready to hit my home water today to get in some good old high water walleye whacking. It did not disappoint my first 3 cast this morning was a 19 incher then a 24.5 incher , and the 3rd was a pig a 27 incher. It was a great day with several more nice eyes coming to the boat. In are half a day outing. Most of the fish fell to jig and leech in very skinny water. We also caught a nice mess rigging leeches in some back water areas. I love vacation , but there is no place like home. Here is a pic of my 27 incher.

You’re a better fisherman than me. Fished pool 3 a few hours the same morning before the heat really turned up and got skunked. Couldn’t find em anywhere.

Went Wed. on 14. Had 4 keepers all 17″ to 19″ and about 6 or 7 small ones. All came pulln cranks. Jigfan is right, they are shallow. Around 6 or 7 ft. Had to get off the water by 10am. Too damn HOT!!!!! Water temp is 84 degrees.
