The morning started pretty well , 5 minutes of fishing and we had a 27.75 inch toad in the boat. We had several other good fish today also. All of our fish came out of some very shallow water. Pitching jigs to rock and flooded timber was what put fish in the boat. We had been on a good backwater bite but that faded today with a Mayfly hatch being the culprit. We went to plan b and it paid off. This is Dad with this years best for him. He has been hot, he had a 27 incher Thursday night also.
