Pool 5 EYE

The quality of fish on Pool 5 has never been better than this year. My buddy Dave and I managed to get out for a couple hours this morning and the bite was productive but not like the prior 2 weeks. Dave did manage to hook a nice fat 27″ Eye on the same current seam and sand flat we have fished for 2 weeks. We had 2 other real nice fish on but they obviously were not hooked good enough or we would have had more photo’s. The bite has slowed and we have noticed the rough fish have begun to move in, generally a bad sign. Of the Walleyes we landed today this was the only fish with Spawn… We are nearing the end of Pre-Spawn Walleyes and the super hot action. With rising water look for cuts to product quality fish. Once again Berk. Gulp baits were the food of choice.

The posts/reports that Fireflick and Flick made last year sure back that statement up. There are some nice fish on pool 5 and its a fun pool to fish and not crowded. Thanks for sharing the pic. Shes a beauty.
    Thanks, Bill
