Saturday on Pepin

Got on the water at lake City mid morning Saturday with two sons. Kind of windy but not bad for a while. Lindy rigged with crawlers and leeches for about an hour in front of DQ with just a couple hits, but no hook ups. Switched to trolling rods and pulling Rapalas and starting catching fish right away. Best luck was on Fire Tiger in 11-13 feet of water. Water temp was 67. Didn’t want to quit but wind and rain made thing pretty ugly. All fish were released. Did talk to CO when we launched at Hok Si La. Got the IS speach. Nice guy, just doing his job.

Sounds like cranked turned em on. When you say firetiger were you trolling number 5 shad raps in firetiger?

did you run 5s and 7s??

We ran some of each, 5s and 7s, but of the 3 lines we had out, I had on a #5 Firetiger ShadRap and probably caught half the fish. My sons both prefer something with blue in them and didn’t do as well.

up to now it’s been a #7 FT SR. maybe there is a new hatch of perch…
