Want to throw my kayak on the car and head out after work. What is a better choice going to Lions Park or the 494 bridge? With the southern winds, it will be a better chance to find the wingdams, since I’m a river rookie. Any suggestions? What’s the current condition of the river after the storms?
Was on P2 last night. Lots of big wood and fast current. Probably should try a lake. No fish and something took out my transducer.
How does that kayak work in the wind? With the strong south wind today those waves should be stacking up pretty good in the main channel. You could get some surfing in. The back channel at lions levee would be where I would go.

idk wing dams are not where i am finding fish now its more about shore line structure right now, and with the water getting higher id try entrances to backwater areas and current breaks for eyes, if you are set on wing dams try where they meet shore, closer to shore than you think. good luck
