Hope to have pictures later, but no guarantees.

The lake is doing well, if you made it out in the mornings before the wind picked up. Dragging and three ways seemed to be doing the best. BfishN Tackles K Grubs pitched to shore line breaks is the secret killer this last weekend.

Swimming a leach or crawler in woody areas produce some dandies this weekend too.

Channel cats are in the slack water next to the current seams. Sonny’s Blood, Secret 7 and Sudden Impact are still bringing in 2 to 10 pound channels. I haven’t heard any reports on cut bait but I’m sure it’s working too.

White bass are chasing river minnows in the shallows. See some minnows busting the surface and toss pretty much any thing shiny to them and you have a good time.

Bluegills are being reported in the back waters towards the head of the lake. Crawlers will catch them along with a stray walleye.

We have a couple cabins open this holiday weekend for Friday and Saturday night if your interested in a quick get away. Sorry, we are booked for Sunday.

The campfire will be turned on most nights for some fish stories.

Whatever you and your family are doing this Memorial Day weekend, have a safe and enjoyable time!

Steve was telling me as soon as he gets his CG license he’s going to take you out. I “think” he was talking fishing.

Any nice crappies coming in off of wood at all?

We found crappies while pulling 3-ways with leeches and crawlers for walleyes today off a major breakline in the main lake. Didn’t try any wood but I’d assume that wood would have crappies on it. With the water coming up that should help move them off the open water and head to wood for a while to get away from strong current.
