Fishing has been pretty decent this week on pool 2. Made it out Thursday after the rain and again this morning before the rain. Water levels are fantastic right now. Very fishable but some spots do have a fair amount of leaves and junk floating threw. You can see in a couple of my photos from Thursday some of this.

The fish seem to be going all over the place. Wingdams, current breaks, shorelines rocks, ect. Some spots are just a fish here or there. Other are holding decent number.

As far as what they are biting on thats about as varied as where they are holding. Jig/crawlers or plastics work well on one spot. Go to the next and they want a crankbait. A few areas you better throw both or you will be leaving fish behind. Long line trolling is working well to.

A couple of baits that have stuck out for me in the last 2 trips have been BfishN Pulse Rs. Pulled 16 walleyes off on area with them in the last 2 trips. They are hitting them hard to. The other bait has been #7 Red Flicker shads. Some days I think if there was only one color crank bait I could use it would be this. This proved to be the hot color trolling this morning.

Here is a few photos from the last couple of trips. Good luck to you guys that are getting out.

Great report! I really want to try and make a trip out there tomorrow, after I get some studying done for my physics final on Monday.

And the river forecast for the next week. Looks like low water levels are ending for a while.

I have been missing high water! High water + opener = empty parking lots!

I would bet the load rattles in them work great in the dirty water. I troll rattle traps on the upper croix and Mississippi north of Aitkin. Walleyes love them up there. Never spent much time with them on pool but but maybe I should.
