Well, I made it out a couple times this past week, but with very poor, constantly changing weather conditions I could not put a pattern together. Picked up a couple small males on the inside corner of deep, steep wing dams one day on 3 way spinner/crawler, not much else that day. Next day was strong east wind, rising, dirty water and light drizzle. Found a couple nice fish drifting ringworms in 21′ of water adjacent to the channel. Nothing on wings or sand. I ran through my whole bag of tricks for 5 fish in two days, not counting a 9-10# sheepie that ate a ringworm in 4′ of water. Great fight one short line and 6# mono!
My next day out I plan to troll the channel edge with lead core. Lots of fish in the channel and on the edges.
Good luck,
Rooster
