Hi All!
I have had a tough time finding fish the last 2 weekends on Pool 4. WIth the tournaments, I have seen quite a few boats fishing the backwater/secondary channels outside of Bay City and Katrinas. I have not been able to determine how these boats are fishing and have had no luck myself rigging minnows, pulling cranks, or dragging plastics. Does anyone have any input or ideas on how to fish these areas this time of year? Any help is much appreciated! Feel free to PM if you would like.

I’d answer your question, but i’m in the same boat as you, figuratively…
I’m oging out today and will drag some cranks and plastic as well as some slow death crawlers. heard a rumor that most of the FLW fish were caught hand lining, but i’m not set up to do that. i am set up to DR, so i’ll do some of that today. i heard .5mph upstream and 2.5mph downstream…

I fished the FLW as a co-angler. One day we pulled lead core in the back channels, one day we hand lined at the dam and one day we live bait rigged clear down by the lake. I finished 10th so obviously it was working but as you can see there is no real pattern. There was also a ton of boats in the channel just trolling outside the cans.
