Here’s my report for the Weekend of 4/14. I am going to assume this bite has died for now as the water is rising and is getting dirty. I’ll find out in about 2 hours
First of all I would like to say I was very surprised that even though we were on a good bite the FLW Tour boats did not move in on us at all. I found this to be very professional on their behalf. My thanks goes out to them. Millerman fished with Jimmy Bell on day 1 of the tour. Jimmy had seen us out there last weekend and told Millerman that we “were putting on a session”.
Trolling cranks fast and deep produced a nice bag of fish both Saturday and Sunday on the weekend of the 14th. Changing colors, sizes and profiles (JSR to SR) often put 1-3 fish in the boat every pass. Most fish were in the 16-25″ range with a 18-20″ average. These fish were stacked up in the 15-24 FOW range with most fish coming from the deeper depths.
