Here’s my report for the Weekend of 4/14. I am going to assume this bite has died for now as the water is rising and is getting dirty. I’ll find out in about 2 hours

First of all I would like to say I was very surprised that even though we were on a good bite the FLW Tour boats did not move in on us at all. I found this to be very professional on their behalf. My thanks goes out to them. Millerman fished with Jimmy Bell on day 1 of the tour. Jimmy had seen us out there last weekend and told Millerman that we “were putting on a session”.

Trolling cranks fast and deep produced a nice bag of fish both Saturday and Sunday on the weekend of the 14th. Changing colors, sizes and profiles (JSR to SR) often put 1-3 fish in the boat every pass. Most fish were in the 16-25″ range with a 18-20″ average. These fish were stacked up in the 15-24 FOW range with most fish coming from the deeper depths.

We didn’t take many pics to avoid attracting a crowd, pictured below are some of the highlights from Sunday:

The Chippewa river came up over a foot yesterday while I was out. Shut down what had been a very good bite that morning and for the last two weeks (perch and smally’s)

The pitching bite continues to be good both with plastics and blades.
Nice report and good to see ya Jesse
the increased flow is a welcome sight for me as it will bring more fish up shallow

Is that your boat Jesse? What make and model is it? That camo is sweet! Thanks also for the report!

Fished yesterday, still a good bite going just need to adjust things slightly to compensate for the water coming up. Start looking for fish to draw back to post spawn and high water areas
