I think responces will be limited due to the FLW and MTT this week…

It has to be getting very close. Water temp at the head of the lake was about 53F when I was down 5 days ago. I can’t imaging it has moved much with the cooler temps recently.

I went down to PNP about a week ago and didn’t paper any fish or move any up to the cans. after we did find fish above the Bay Point entrance.

Pulled cranks on lead, with out lead, rig big bait, jiged small bait, pitched shorelines and had NOTHING but one short bite to show last week, that said they were there according to the Hbird!

The wife and I took the vet out for a cruise Saturday during the full throttle and there were a lot of people out on Pepin all over. We ran down to Waubesha and back and there were a lot of boats out, someone must have caught something.

Good fish to be had in the river yet, with the low flow, the fish are in no hurry…

On sat I had my dog with me and it was her first time in the boat so I didn’t to try fishing from red wing to the dam couse wasn’t sure how she was going to behave around all the boats so I ended up pulling cranks from maiden rock to colvill. Trolled maiden, nothing! Trolled point no point, nothing! Trolled/dragged the can line, nothing! Trolled/pitched around (I think its called) baldwin island? Couple crappies and a smallie. Trolled in front of colvill cought lots of small saugers so than tried pitching along the rocks and came up with zero. I didn’t see anyone catching anything From colvill and to the south. Hope that helps ya out

Agreed! And the water temp need to warm up into the 60’s for pepin to be a forsure bite and I think less than half the fish have spawned.

Tried Lacaupolis this morning.DEA SEA! Tried trolling, jigging, drifting with crawlers. One sheepie. Saw lots of FLW boats and didn’t see but only one other sheepie caught.

By the looks of pepin around lake city this morning you’d be playing bumper boats there as well.

After 5 or more hard days of pre-fishing by most of these FLW Pro’s, there will be no secrets come Wednesday PM (except between themselves and their teammates). They will know exactly where the hotest and best bites are coming from.
