Like most other fisherfolk in the tri-state area, I found myself on pool 4 for much of the day today. Most everyone I spoke with reported slow slow fishing, and that matched my experience as well. Couldn’t buy a bite unless I was between the dam and the Y, between 12 and 16′ of water. Picked up a reasonable mixed bag of a lone walleye (18″ milky male), a couple of cigar saugers, a sheepie that absolutely assaulted my jig/minnow combo, and a number of white bass including 2 really really nice ones. All fish on 1/4 oz chart jigs tipped with minnows. Saw a few big walleye heads in the gut pails at Everts along with a lot of white bass carcasses, so people are still scratching out a few fish. Tight lines everyone!

Thanks for the report Brooktrout! That pattern will probably hold until(hopefully) some water starts running thru the dam.
