Headed to Pool 5 for the first time yesterday and managed 2 15″ eyes. We also got a 8 pound northern. Fished the Wi side right off of the dam most of the day with a couple other boats. Didnt look like anyone was havin a good day. fished mostly 8- 14 fow but nothing, tried further down river and still couldnt buy a bite.
Despite struggling i want to come back for more.
I talked my dad into taking me to pool 4 tomorrow outta Everts. I have never fished there and my dad hasnt in 18 years. What depths am i looking for this time of year? I hear diamond island and the wi side near dam are the hot spots for eyes and saugers. Any other spots/tips/techniques?
