Anyone having luck on pool 16

I haven’t been out on the river in about a month or so it seems. I was wondering if anyone has been having any luck or if any big fish are being caught. I am thinking about going out tomorrow evening and a little while after dark. Any information would be appreciated.

Been fishing almost every day, havent caught one over 14″ in a week and a half. Couldnt keep them off the hook up until 2 weeks ago, now they are spawning and nothing is biting but the little ones. Averaging 2-4 fish per day. Cant wait until they start biting again.

I was afraid of that, well nothing better to do tomorrow evening so I may as well give it a shot. I will let you know how it goes.

So last from 4 until 8:30 I tried a bunch of different spots, the slough up by the arsenal and down that straight away, credit island wing dams 2 through 4, the mouth of the rock river up to the bridge, sunset marina, and the slough by horseshoe island under that small bridge crossing. I trolled cranks, dragging plastics, pitching, and a little vertical jigging. I ended up getting one short while pitching the mouth of the marina. It was a rather disappointing outing but always nice to be out on the water.

its been an oddball year. you hit all the spots i probably would of hit. i went after crappie instead and did ok. i think the eyes are finally spawning right now.
