Yahbuddy and I finally get to get on the water together. Our goal is to fish Pool 8 for ‘eyes and sauger. It looks like the wind will die down for us this evening. We are still trying to figure out how to catch ‘eyes on the river. We are excited to be able to stay out until well after dark. I know people always ask, but any advice and/or tips would be appreciated. I plan to pitch blades and jig a minnow. We’ve talked about how to do a threeway (but my wife wasn’t into it…kidding). We might try to troll a 3way rig just before sundown.

Headlamps are a must and if you have a spotlight for driving in the dark to spot the bouys is nice also. Don’t forget about plastics….I am unfamilir with Pool 8 but here on Pool 4 I haven’t had a minnow in the boat in over a month!!! And as always a little luck never hurts! So GOOD LUCK!!!
