My Pool 4 PB Walleye

This afternoon was just shaping up as “just too nice” to stay home, lightest winds all week; by 2pm I was headed down to Pool 4.

I’ve only been down 3 times this month, and with seeing everyone’s pictures of terrific Walleyes, I was hoping to add a few of my own.

It would NOT take too big of a Walleye to be my Pool 4 PB. I started down river to just get my casting arm limbered up on some Smallies I found a week earlier, they were there and landed at least a dozen. Nothing big but nice action.

I headed up river did some 3-waying, had one huge hit that didn’t hookup, and also landed a medium Sauger.

Started casting shoreline with 3/32 pink/char jig and ringworm. Overall slow, but stuck it out. Did land 7 Walleyes, with the biggest 2 at 21 1/2, and my pool 4 PB at 25 1/2 inches with a 17 1/2 girth. Very FAT solid Walleye. Both of these big fish came after 10pm. I had really had no where to go, and It wasn’t even my birthday yet til midnight.

The first two pics are a different view of the big one, and the third pic is the 21 1/2. Also thought I’d toss one in of my only Largemouth today.

Met Jeff Johnson (Just Fish) at the landing coming in, can’t wait to see his pictures, he had a very good evening. Great to meet you Jeff.

Jack, when you stopped in front of Everts that day, I was the person that mentioned to you your trailer light was not working and also asked how you liked the Acadia.
    Nice meeting you, Bruce
