Made my third trip in the last 10 days to Pool 9 on Saturday. I typically love fishing Pool 4 but the older I get the more I dislike fighting the crowds on the weekends. Pool 9 is new to me and exploring new water makes me feel like a kid in a candy store.
With new water comes new challenges and I have not yet found the mother lode. Caught a 22.5′, 17.5″, and 14.5″ walleye and several small walleye. The flow had doubled since the previous weekend and moved the fish. Ripple shad and 4″ Power minnows worked best. Purple and chartreuse paddle tails were the hot bait the weekend before. Still looking for the big schools of fish. Not much of a report but thought I would share anyway.
