Fished from 7ish to 1230. Started pitching paddletails and was rewarded with a 27″ eye. Caught a couple shorties and then moved down river and pitched a point. 1 keeper saug. Moved out deeper and it was game on. Depth, staying vertical, and color were very critical. Switch color=no bites. Also got quite a few on jig/minnow, but the paddletails produced almost all our keepers. Overall had 50-60 saugs and two eyes. Cant wait to get back down mon or wed.

Your two days sound very similar to what we found except we had a 44 inch flathead instead of a 25″ eye as our bonus fish. Didn’t have a scale, but it was massive. Saw a couple other large flatheads caught this weekend too. Lots of boats, but a great weekend to be out on the water

    moger,
Very nice day on the water, and sure sounds like some GOOD action.
Am heading down in the morning.
Would you care to share what was the color that was so important. Sounds like lots of new fish are coming out of the lake.
    Thanks
    Jack
