I may be, but I can’t promise the walleyes will be. It could change any time, but it has been S-L-O-W recently.

Well they have to start biting some day. We haven’t really fished pool 2 for walleye, so I have to start planning what and where to hit.

My tip for tomorrow is plan on enjoying the boat ride and weather. Maybe do a little site seeing on the river. Lots of birds and eagles out right now. Maybe bring minnows if you are set on catching a walleye. Even with that the bite may still be slow.

Ill be out of 494 early in the morning. Not planning on sticking around to long if I cant find fish. Would just stay home if it wasnt for the weather. Way to nice out not to fish.

I was yesterday and fished from the confluence all the way south of 494. We only had 1 fish to show for it. The wind made it almost impossible to pitch. We spend most of our time with three ways. I did not see one other fish boated in about 10 hours of fishing.

Not sure what is going on, but the last two weeks for me has probably been the worst fishing I have ever encountered. It sounds like it has been that way for others as we’ll. Dnr officers were out there yesterday, and they said everyone they talked to were struggling. On the bright side, it can only get better.

So you are saying, bring a container of crawlers and an ultralight, because we might have to resort to carp fishing?

Yes. Caught two walleyes this morning and misses 3 or 4 more. Was on the way home by 830.

We ended up hitting pool 2 after all. I know this is a walleye section, but after watching all the walleye guys get blanked around us, we put a few channel cats in the boat out of a community hole.

Nothing like a back up plan and being diverse to avoid being skunked.
