Made it down to the river with my good friend jason yesterday to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
We began the morning by pitching shorelines looking for a single bite but after a few hours in various locations we came up short.
We switched gears and decided to cover some water dragging Dabuque rigs down current and 3 ways with cranks or meat up current. It would turn out to be a good decision boating 24 sauger with about 12 being what I consider “keepers”. (above 14″). I was very surprised we did not even get a short eye.
Bright colors were our best producer.
Meat or artificial were 50/50
All fish caught below the no wake zones.
