Pick your presentation, drag up/down, vertical jig, troll 3 ways and sticks, even fish caught on lead core, all worked. No luck on big eyes pitching early am unfortunately. Fished 5-6 hours and caught 25-30 fish from 10′-19′. Mostly smaller saugers and a few sub 15″ eyes in the mix. Kept 4 16″ for eaters and released 8 over 18″ that were full of eggs. Biggest today was a 21″ sauger. Waves of fish on the move though and if you found pods of fish they were willing to bite. Water clarity 2′ with some debris and bite was steady until about 11 am. Fun day to be out with warm weather and calm winds I can take more of that!

That is a really interesting report!
Spoke with a good friend that fished it hard all day yesterday. He got skunked. Said he never even seen a fish boated, other than a small crappie in the back waters. Worked from the dam down to the head of the lake.
Other reports said 6 fish seen being caught…….2 was from the person who saw the 6 caught.

It is truly a river when the fish refuse to bite one day, or even for a week, yet a little change of something and you can’t keep them off the hook with any presentation.
