I will be down by pool 13 for the next few weekends and I was told that the apple river was a good walleye spot that is easily accesible from shore(because I dont have a boat). I have seen people catch walleyes there but I am not sure what to use. I dont usually fish for walleyes so I am uneducated on the subject. Most people say jigs dont work there very often. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try a split shot and night crawler on the bottom,or a slip sinker rig with a gold hook and a crawler. You could even drift a minnow down the river with a slip bobber its not very wide there espcially around the bridge but I thought that was all private axess, I know 1-side of the river is the savanna army depot and the other side I thought was private ground, I know somebody that keeps their boat down there. well I hope this helps GOOD FISHIN and let me know if any of these ways help.
