Dam 5a pool 6

    Any reports from lock and dam 5a Winona dam ? Does’nt seem like many reports ever come out of this area ?

    I went down a couple a weeks ago playing around with some new electronics and all I saw a few boats sitting dead center at about the 250-300 foot out from the face of the dam pulling little saugers out of a scourer hole.

    Not my style of fishing But I do fish that area a bit and will let you know when it starts popping

    I have heard some reports from 5a Bass Camp & Trempealeau but not much from Winona. What I have heard is that the bite has been slow and most guys at Bass Camp seem to be up at or very her the dam. Should pick up sooner than later. I don’t have any details from Trempealeau. I hope to get out this weekend but could be anywhere from 5a or 5 or even make a run up o pool 4

    POOL 4 this weekend with temps in the 50’s.

    It’s really been hit or miss. Been there about a dozen times since middle of Feb. Seem to get a few decent eaters each trip but only a couple times where it has been hot. Have not seen any real big girls yet. Have had a few in low 20’s. Going to go again tomorrow, will let you know if it picks up.
